Sales Analyst (Contract)

Under the guidance of the Customer Business Development Senior Director, the Analyst will be responsible for providing on going and ad hoc analytical support to the CBD team to deliver business goals and support account needs. Works collaboratively with the team to identify and maximize the business opportunities in-store and online. Primary focus will be toward optimizing investment of programs though efficiency and efficacy analysis and providing in-depth POS performance insights for our business. This role is also responsible for delivering key competitive and category insights through retail data analytics. Analyst must be able to distill data into digestible, easy to understand formats for internal and external presentations

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage reporting related to all business metrics for optimal decision-making purposes - weekly, monthly and annually. (i.e. sales, inventory, distribution, productivity and actualizing promo performance)
  • Proactive analysis and extraction of key information.
  • Interpretation of data to identify sales trends and their implications.
  • Track and analyze NPD vs. deleted SKU performance.
  • Track and analyze store distribution and POG changes.
  • Track and analyze inventory, in-stock levels and other key Revlon and customer KPI's.
  • Review item and store level assortment issues and/or code errors and work towards resolutions.
  • Provide data and analytics to support the business in POS and Order forecasting.
  • Track customer in-stock levels and targeted weeks of supply to ensure alignment with internal and external departments using inventory efficiency strategies and other decision support tools (Power BI, Customer Data).
  • Collaborate with Demand Planning and replenishment teams to identify changes in distribution, display or promotional activities that may affect orders or POS performance.
  • Utilize customer data (Retail Link/LDIA) as well as internal Revlon Master Item Data to maintain customer data integrity.
  • Seek opportunities to develop process improvements to positively impact service levels and reduce fines.
  • Assist in ad-hoc problem solving by identifying root causes and engaging key stakeholders (both internal and external) to create win-win solutions.
  • Provide support and analysis for Business Planning.
  • Ad hoc requests as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years related business experience within the CPG industry
  • Background in cosmetics or other sku intensive category preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Neilsen, LDIA, Retail Link, MicroStrategy and SAP systems preferred
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Naturally curious
  • Strong customer focus, with the ability to understand key business drivers.
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive and anticipate job requirements; takes ownership to resolve issues.
