You are an experienced Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse with a desire to make a real difference in the lives of our clients and their families. You are an individual that is passionate about providing care for the most vulnerable people in our communities in the comfort of their own homes.

Your role as a homecare nurse is at the heart of this. You will provide care with medication administration, wound care, infusion management, feeding to palliative clients, paediatric clients, and clients with chronic conditions.

Responsibilities & Primary Duties
- Travel to patients' homes to provide medical and personal care
- Administer medication
- Inspect wounds and change dressings
- Test for things like infection, weakness, and bedsores
- Collaborate with Physicians to create personalized healthcare plans
- Help educate other caregivers and family members on how to care for the patient
- Monitor patients and communicate their treatments with their attending physician
Qualifications and Skills
- Passionate about community health/home support
- Committed to working with seniors and/or persons with disabilities
- Able to work independently
- A solid knowledge of the principles, practices and methods of community healthcare and the delivery of personal care service to clients
- Demonstrated ability to follow English written and verbal instructions as related to client care
- Able to travel locally from client to client
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Ability to empathize with patients
- Able to provide physical and emotional support
- Active listening skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of medical practices and equipment
