What a Training and Development Specialist will do here…
The overall objective of the Recruitment & Talent Development Specialist is to grow our team! They will also play in a pivotal role in supporting the company's HR functions and financial operations. This role will be responsible for fostering a positive, organized, and progressive HR environment while ensuring smooth daily financial activities.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Recruiting new team members in attending job fairs, managing job postings, conducting screening interview, etc.
- Assessing training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers and employees.
- Creating, organizing, planning, and presenting various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees.
- Developing unique training programs to fulfill staffs specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.
- Creating training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.
- Managing monthly town hall and quarterly team building events.
- Maintaining records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
- Evaluating program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
- Preparing and implementing a training budget; maintaining records and reports of expenses.
- Assist in administering payroll and benefits programs.
- Performing other related duties, such as assisting with ad-hoc accounting and HR responsibilities.
What will make you a perfect candidate…
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Science.
- At least two years of training experience required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills.
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
- Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
- Previous experience with BambooHR a significant asset.
- Adaptable and able to manage multiple cross-functional responsibilities.
