Job description

Agrisan is one of the largest, Canadian-owned manufacturers of Specialty Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals.

Since 1995, the company has been providing products for use in a variety of industries including food, agriculture, and pharmaceuticals. Every product sold by Agrisan is manufactured at our 116000 sq. ft. facility in Arthur, Ontario. Agrisan holds a Health Canada establishment license to manufacture, test, package/label, and distribute pharmaceuticals. Our extensive lab facilities help us bring science to sanitation.

Core Functions: Manufacturing liquid and powder batches.

Responsibilities:

  • Make batches according to master formulae and confirm process parameters for temperature, colour, and batch number.
  • Perform and record all cleaning logs as required. Disassemble, clean, and assemble equipment as per SOPs. Equipment includes tanks, lids, pumps, filters and packaging equipment.
  • Set up pumps/equipment and operate them according to SOP, producing a good quality product.
  • Required activities involve dispensing, operation of a lift truck, scissor lift, scale calibration and performing any necessary in-process adjustments.
  • Completes all documentation accurately and as required, including in-process checks, set-ups and start-ups.
  • Perform rudimentary quality testing as required (non-DIN).
  • Work independently, as required, and complete daily activities according to schedule.
  • Strictly adhere to GMP, Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Guidelines at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Education, Training and Experience)

  • Minimum of Ontario Secondary or Post Secondary diploma.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills.
  • Able to multi-task and adapt to change.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent organization, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to follow written procedures and complete accurate documentation.
  • Strong working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and a proven commitment to excellent product quality.
  • Capable of reaching and lifting and working from a platform.
  • Tow motor/lifting device operation required.
