Every day at RWI, our team works closely, applying our advanced, AI-driven modelling technology to help our clients solve some of the most challenging issues of our time and the future created by the need to sustainably invest, adapt, grow, educate, build, decarbonize, shelter, prepare, move, consume, protect, and include.

As a Strategic Accounts Executive, you will initiate and guide our potential clients on their RWI journey, from pre-sales network building, through marketing initiatives and sales targets to ensuring delivery exceeds all expectations. Communication skills will be key to enhancing customer and partnership journeys, accelerating sales, and delivering bids and proposals. As customers close, you will represent their values and expectations throughout the project on the team and work to exceed the customer's promise. A valid passport and the ability to travel on average 2 x per month with some travel outside of North America are requirements for the role.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Use your excellent knowledge of RWI products and services, competitive positioning, and value propositions to develop, promote and manage a portfolio of clients.
  • Work with the Sales and Business Development team to set and accomplish sales funnel targets.
  • Identify and apply targetted marketing and sales strategies for diverse customer profiles including industry, company, and contacts.
  • Pursue leads and support the customer journey through to successful sale close and project delivery.
  • Connect the challenges key decision makers face with relevant value propositions and applications of RWI's platform and services.
  • Works closely with RWI's CEO and COO through the creation and progression of sales opportunities.
  • Speak as a thought leader. You must be comfortable in front of a crowd - presenting to all audiences and hosting clients.
  • Maintain relationships with current clients and identify new prospects within the market.
  • Meticulous about the team systems, including the CRM Salesforce platform, ensuring contact, account, task, communication, and opportunity information are continuously updated and moving forward.
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and working with others to integrate contract requirements with business operations.
  • Liaise with the marketing team to organize regular communication with current and potential clients to ensure we are at the top of the mind for opportunities.
  • Communicate directly with clients and prospects, arranging and running meetings
  • Write and revise Statements of Work, Proposals, and Partnership Agreements based on templates and pricing models
  • Lead and contribute to RFP and RFI responses, Research and Grant Applications with a proposal team
  • Attend trade shows and participate in trade acceleration initiatives as required
  • Relay and present outcomes and results to clients
  • Provide direction and approval for invoicing efforts

Who You Are

  • You have a Bachelor's degree (Master or PhD is a plus) in business, communications, marketing -- or a technical discipline related to energy transition, resilience, mobility, urban development, social planning or space combined with experience with client development and relationship management.
  • Your experience includes five years or more in strategic sales and business development.
  • You are a seeker who is always looking for ways to learn and incorporate up-to-date insight into sustainability, resilience, and growth and stay in touch with new developments in RWI's technical team.
  • You are a flexible team player, actively helping other team members.
  • You are a quick learner, able and interested in meeting new people, making new connections and acquiring new skill competencies.
