Your Responsibilities: As a co-op student at Millards, you will:

  • Prepare personal and corporate tax returns.
  • Handle client bookkeeping and generate compliance-related financial reports.
  • Prepare working papers for review and compilation engagement files.
  • Build proficiency with accounting and bookkeeping software.
  • Learn to identify when and how to seek guidance from senior team members.
  • Work directly with co-op students, senior accountants, managers, and partners.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in an Accounting or related program, with a plan to pursue a CPA designation.
  • Previous experience in an accounting firm is an asset.
  • Strong academic performance in accounting courses.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
  • Aptitude for learning new software quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
