The Role:

Canco is currently seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our internal Construction team. The right candidate will be driven, detail-oriented, and will thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Modeling and design of mechanical components for company construction and new development gas station sites.
• Analyze the needs of the space, and design accordingly.
• Prepare and maintain engineering design documents, engineering test plans, and safety documents.
• Ability to refine specifications for various purposes including aesthetics, cost, quality, time restraints, and reliability.
• Request quotes from vendors for parts and materials required.
• Conduct and participate in all design meetings.
• Provide insight and recommendations on different and new solutions.
• Other duties as required.

What You Bring:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Junior Mechanical Engineer, or similar role.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Strong computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office (ex. Word, SharePoint, Excel, and Teams).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail and accuracy

Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000 annually

This role is a Permanent Full-Time position at our Kelowna BC Head Office.
