About this role:

Currently, our Project Planning Services team is searching for a dedicated and eager Electrical Planner to join our Project Planning Services team. This position is a great opportunity for those with a background in electrical construction.

What is Project Planning Services? Project Planning Services is a decentralized team that supports our large major projects across the province as well as other small commercial projects with our extensive knowledge and our commitment to innovation and quality.

This is a great opportunity to use your experience in electrical construction and planning. During slower periods, you will be assigned to field duties.

Here's how your role with strengthen our team

Your responsibilities

• Produce installation drawings for field teams to allow for efficient install of electrical systems on a project
• Interpret construction drawings including electrical, architectural, mechanical and structural
• Collaborate with field teams to adjust designs for on-site requirements
• Work as part of a team to support the planning of multiple projects
• Work in an office environment and utilize computer programs to efficiently produce installation drawings

Your experience and skills

• Must be a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice
• Must have a minimum 1-2 years of field experience including:
  • Concrete Slab projects
  • Wire Installation
  • Distribution installation is an asset
• High attention to detail
• Positive attitude
• Willing to learn or re-learn methods of planning
• Good communication skills
• Passionate about research & fine detailing within the planning scope
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Adaptable, organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Should enjoy working with computers and willing to learn AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
• A good grasp of the CEC
