Hi, I'm Kaela from JENNY BIRD, and I am the Associate Art Director. I joined the company 3 years ago and have had an amazing experience leading and building the creative team. The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Motion and Graphic Designer to join our Creative Services Team. In this role you will be working predominantly with video. With a focus on creative solutioning, you will integrate storyboarding, 3D graphics and editing into our video assets. You will be tasked with creating compelling content to advertise our brand to different audiences. Storyboarding is a key component of this role as you contribute to taking preliminary concepts into realization.

You'll work closely with the Art Director and Creative Services and Marketing teams to ensure that all work is compelling and meets visual expectations. As a Motion and Graphic Designer, you will also use your creative skills to elevate the JENNY BIRD brand and ensure brand compliance internally and externally. This role is an imperative support to the wider team and will directly contribute to the success of the overall brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Create engaging and high performing ad content for new product launches, evergreen brand awareness campaigns and seasonal moments
  • Cut and edit e-commerce and campaign videos to align with brand aesthetics and marketing objectives
  • Produce motion designs for ads and key brand campaigns that capture the brand's essence and engage the target audience
  • Collaborate with copywriters and marketing team to build best in class ads
  • Participate in creative content sessions, providing innovative concepts and ideas for email campaigns, social stories, marketing collateral, and advertisements
  • Work closely with Creative Director and Art Director to storyboard creative concepts
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the creative and marketing teams

Note that some of the above responsibilities may be tweaked slightly based on the candidate's experience and areas of strength. Any such minor amendments to the above will be shared with the candidate as a part of the hiring process.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or relevant field of study
  • 2-4 years experience working on fashion, beauty or lifestyle brands
  • 2-4 years experience working in advertising
  • Ability to storyboard and create compelling stories with brand content
  • Proficiency in the entire Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects and Blender
  • Portfolio with a range of projects that includes your digital work, emphasis on ads andVideo
  • Knowledge of digital design process and best practices, including ad optimization
  • Proven ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail

Nice to have:

  • Experience with videography
  • Experience with Shopify, Klaviyo and Figma

Location:

We have flexible working arrangements for the team. This role requires you to be in the office (East Room located at 507 King East, Toronto, Ontario) 3 days a week (Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays)
