Job Description

Title: Security Shift Supervisor

Location: Fort Saskatchewan, AB

Type: Permanent Full-Time

Salary Range: $ 28.00 - $29.23

Schedule: 05:30 am - 17:30 p.m. and 17:30 p.m. - 05:30 a.m.

Rotational 12 hour shifts, 4 on, 4 off, 5 on 5 off including days and overnights.

Overview:

Allied Universal®is looking for a committed and experienced Security Shift Supervisor for a full-time position in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. The Security Shift Supervisor will manage a team of security professionals, ensuring the safety of our facilities, employees, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for security management. This role includes overseeing security operations, ensuring adherence to protocols, and leading a team of security professionals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement emergency notifications according to site Post Orders.
• Supervise security personnel, including managing daily tasks and evaluating performance.
• Oversee the Access Control and Visitor Management System.
• Assist with data reporting requirements and findings.
• Train and mentor security staff to uphold high performance standards and ensure cross-training to prevent gaps.
• Keep accurate records and documentation related to operations.
• Manage daily activities, including mobile and foot patrols, as well as audits.
• Suggest productivity enhancements and cost-saving initiatives through data analysis and auditing for management.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 4 years in a supervisory role
• Minimum of 5 years Security experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience with security systems and technology.
• Class 5 Driver's License with 1 year of driving experience, clean abstract, and at least 25 years of age (insurance requirement).
• Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Professional communication with clients and colleagues, keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Physically able to walk/stand for long periods, climb stairs, work in all weather, and lift/carry up to 20 kg.
• Professional demeanor and appearance must be clean-shaven for OH&S reasons.
