SUMMARY:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Co-Op student to join our team. The successful candidate will provide software support for engineering applications such as NX, Teamcenter, SolidWorks, and PDM. This role involves troubleshooting software issues, maintaining technical documentation, and assisting with the development and testing of custom software. The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess strong problem-solving skills, and have a keen interest in engineering technology and software.

Note: The ideal co-op term for this position is between 8 to 12 months starting Winter 2025.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Daily tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the engineering file system, ensuring the accuracy and organization of data.
  • Provide software support for engineering tools such as NX, Teamcenter, SolidWorks, and PDM.
  • Document each support request and resolution using a provided format.
  • Maintain and update custom application, including debugging the applications.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and procedures for both new and existing custom applications.
  • Assist in testing and projects to support the continuous improvement of engineering processes.
  • Provide basic hardware support to end-users as instructed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Presently enrolled in a post-secondary Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Engineering Technologist or related programs.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proactive, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Well-organized with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in computer skills with basic programming knowledge (C# and VB.NET preferred).
  • Experience with 3D modeling software such as NX or SolidWorks is preferred.
