Responsibilities:

  • Understand the company quality system and company objectives
  • Accurately enter and maintain production data, inventory levels, and quality control metrics in our database systems.
  • Collaborate with production staff to monitor workflow and assist in scheduling and coordinating production runs.
  • Track raw materials and finished products, ensuring adequate supply levels and proper documentation of inventory movements.
  • Assist in monitoring product quality, ensuring compliance with company standards, and reporting any discrepancies
  • Consistently work towards continuous improvement
  • Prepare and maintain production reports, shipping documents, and other necessary paperwork as required.
  • Perform weekly cycle counts and inventory audits for roll stock
  • Liaise between production teams, management, and other departments to facilitate smooth operations and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Identify inventory discrepancies and communicate to all parties involved
  • Reconcile discrepancies in the cycle counting and quarterly physical inventory
  • Health and Safety administrative duties, including but not limited to: organizing monthly safety training videos and assessments, updating MSDS binders, participating in audits, etc.
  • Assist with general purchasing
  • Work in a safe manner following company's safety policy
  • Reception back-up when required
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Other related duties as required

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in manufacturing or business is a plus.
  • Must possess a good telephone manner and be able to read and write English
  • Math skills such as addition, subtraction and division are necessary
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and experience with production management software.
  • Previous experience in an inventory control function an asset
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
  • Ability to work autonomously and with little direction in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
  • Comfortable working in a factory setting with varying temperatures and noise levels.
