Operations Coordinator – Rome Transportation Inc.

The Role:

As an Operations Coordinator, you'll be the key player in our logistics team, working closely with Sales Executives to manage transportation requests and ensure smooth shipping operations from start to finish. We're looking for conscientious self-starters who are analytical, proactive, and love working with a team. This is an in-office position: Monday - Friday, 8:30AM-5PM

You Will:

  • Plan and coordinate freight shipments with our carrier partners using phone and email.
  • Build strong, genuine relationships with carriers built on a foundation of trust and camaraderie.
  • Enter orders into our systems, track, and trace shipments, and work collaboratively with the team to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Operations teams to deliver exceptional customer service to clients.
  • Provide quotes and negotiate terms with customers and carriers.

You Have:

  • A post-secondary education in relevant field or relatable industry experience
  • Is familiar with various software's including CRMs
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office programs such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook & Word
  • Advanced organization and time management skills
  • An analytical mindset with a firm understanding of current and future market trends.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • The willingness to learn the ins and outs of a niche industry.
  • The ability to connect with people.
  • A determined mindset with a go-getter team attitude.
