Job DescriptionPosition Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Power Electronics - Component Development Engineer to join our dynamic team in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electric circuits and power electronics, along with experience in electric vehicle (EV) AC and DC charging systems. This position requires an in-depth understanding of AC DC charging standards, CAN communication, and proficiency with Vector tools and Microsoft Office applications. The role involves performing high voltage (HV) AC and DC charging validation, data analysis, and issue management, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and performance of our EV charging systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform HV AC and DC charging validation and conformance testing on vehicles and test benches.
- Ensure compliance with relevant charging standards including SAE J1772, IEC 61851, and DIN 70121.
- Conduct detailed data analysis to evaluate the performance and reliability of charging systems.
- Utilize Vector tools (CANalyzer/CANoe) to monitor and analyze CAN communication data.
- Report issues in the issue management system (IMS/PITS) and track their resolution.
- Work closely with Design Validation Engineers (DVE) and Design Release Engineers (DRE) to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Participate in data analysis and issue analysis meetings to discuss findings and develop solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of issues and continuous improvement of charging systems.
- Strong understanding of electric circuits and power electronics.
- In-depth knowledge of EV AC and DC charging systems and standards (SAE J1772, IEC 61851, DIN 70121).
- Proficiency in CAN communication protocols and experience with Vector tools (CANalyzer/CANoe).
- Competency in using Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting.
- Ability to perform comprehensive data analysis and interpret results to identify issues and areas for improvement.
- Strong team collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with DVE and DRE teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to HV AC and DC charging systems.

* This position requires working onsite for 5 days a week, 8 hours per day during normal working hours.
