Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Guards in Halifax Canada.

Title: Security Guard

Location: Halifax

Payrate: $15.20 to $16.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Sunday.

Shifts- Rotating shifts- 3pm to 11pm; 11pm to 7am; 7am to 7pm & 7pm to 7am.

Overview:

Allied Universal is seeking professional security guards to join our team in Halifax. We are seeking for dedicated candidates who can demonstrate excellent communication & computer skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for Safety & Security of the environment through foot patrol. The ideal candidate will have to demonstrate excellent communication skills, willing to work the mentioned shift, and able to manage the job requirements. If you enjoy patrolling, is swift in computers and can maintain a high level of professionalism, we'd like to hear from you.

Requirement:

• Open shift availability.
• Ability to operate technology and wireless communication systems at client-specific sites.
• Must have a valid NS Security License (or we will get it done for the applicant).
• Must be eligible to work in Halifax up to 24 hours a week.
• First Aid and CPR
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
• Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 kilograms.

Responsibilities:

• Efficient with computers, ensuring effective patrolling and site security.
• Responds to Emergency Situations such as fires, Chemical Spills, Medical Emergencies, Phone Threats, answers alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises.
• Completes monthly, weekly, and daily tasks assigned.
• Communicate with stakeholders, including site management, in a professional manner.
• Address and manage security incidents and emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
• Perform regular patrols and site checks to maintain security standards.
