We are looking for an experienced and motivated information technology manager who will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring that computing systems, data centers and equipment are operating effectively and efficiently for our organization.

To be successful in this position you will demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the industry's best practices and evidence a professional track record of effective technical management, security management, information analysis, and a thorough understanding of computer hardware and software systems as it relates to managing hosted systems. You should be comfortable providing technology solutions to employees as well as ENKON's SaaS clients. You will have strong management skills, and must have prior experience working in hosted systems and understand the latest technology trends to ensure the technology in place is up to date.

What we offer:

Job Type: Full-time - Salary

The position will be at our office in Victoria, BC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage inhouse and remote employees and monitor their performance.
• Manage inhouse Information Systems, SOC 2 Type 2 compliance and provide oversite of 1 inhouse and 3 remote data centers.
• Understand various IT troubleshooting and provide technical support.
• Control and monitor data, network access, generate performance reports, perform upgrades, installations, maintenance and backup systems.
• Negotiate and communicate with third-party software providers for new software, software licensing and troubleshooting.
• Oversite of the annual IT budget and ensuring cost effective expenditures.
• Assuring all IT activities are performed within the parameters of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
• Evaluating technology risks in order to develop a network disaster recovery plan and backup procedures.
• Remaining up to date with advances in technology and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, software engineering, or relevant field;
• 8+ years of experience in related field, preferable in datacenter management;
• 3+ years of experience leading a team;
• Experience in information technology space and solving various software and hardware problems;
• Strong technical problem-solving focus and great communication skills;
• Proficient in computer hardware, cabling installation and support, wireless technology applications and interface, and IT security;
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows software, including server, office, and exchange;
• Management and leadership skills;
• Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks;
• Highly organized and detail-oriented; and,
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
