Who you are:

Reporting to the Director, Planning and Risk, you will work directly with business units to identify business needs, solution design, implementation, and support. You will be integral to enabling company-wide initiatives, facilitating the elicitation and documentation of business requirements which will include in-depth analysis and process modeling. You are passionate about optimizing, innovating, and enabling change!

What you'll do:

  • Act as the conduit liaison between the business, strategy, initiatives, and operations across CIRA including the internal IT team. This role is integral to reaching CIRA's goal of scaling and optimizing the ways we work.
  • With an understanding of CIRA's strategic objectives and priorities, work with stakeholders to support the gathering of requirements of the end state vision using a variety of techniques, including interviewing, facilitated sessions, surveys and documentation review.
  • Lead the analysis and recommendations of CIRA's Collaboration and Information Management program. This program entails establishing updated adoption of internal information systems such as SharePoint, Confluence, establishing information management disciplines and establishing standard tools across the organization. Organizational Change Management is an important element of this program.
  • Develop requirements and analysis documents utilizing a variety of conceptual and logical process/data modeling techniques including business process models, data flow models and workflow models. Re-engineer business processes based on business and stakeholder requirements, using appropriate modelling tools (e.g. case modeling techniques, workflow modeling, business process modeling, user stories).
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency of business processes and increase adoption and integration of applications.

What you bring:

  • Minimum of 10+ years demonstrated experience as a business analyst or equivalent and experience in business process requirements, analysis and process management methodologies and approaches.
  • Experience leading and influencing transformational change.
  • Understanding strategy with proven ability to advance initiatives.
  • Experience in testing including knowledge of test strategies, plans and execution.
  • Assisting in designing workshops and facilitating groups and work team sessions to gain input from key contributors.
  • Knowledge of information management design and best practices.
  • Experience with developing and delivering training for cross-functional teams.
  • Level of education, training and experience equivalent to an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or equivalent.
