Position: GCP Data Engineer / Data Quality Engineer
Location: Hybrid, 2 x per week (Toronto, Downtown)
Structure: Contract, 6 months to start
Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 p/h inc

In this role you will work within the Data Quality Engineering team and in collaboration with the GCP Data Engineering team on GCP Data Projects for ETL, Data Quality, Data Validation and Data Integrity.

Requirements:

1. 7+ years' experience in Quality engineering Datawarehouse, Cloud knowledge in GCP (GCP is needed, AWS or Azure as optional)
2. 7+ years' experience in technical area of specialty, specifically SQL, BigQuery, Cloud, Python/Pyspark and any data platform
3. Knowledge on Airflow DAG, Cloud composer, Looker studio is must
4. Experience in any DH Automation tools or technologies (Python/Pyspark)
5. Experience in data ingestion, ETL testing, data integrity testing and Cloud testing
6. Strong ability to analyze the business and user requirements and translate them into testing deliverables such as testing data, SQL query and validate expected results.
7. Strong Ability to create test strategies, test plans and execute tests
8. Strong ability to provide triage support on testing results and provide guidance and confidence to stakeholder for the closure path.
9. Ability to create solutions to various complex DATA testing challenges.
10. Ability to create various metrics and provide insight to stakeholders upfront with recommendations.
