About The Role

Book4Time is looking for a Senior IT System Engineer to join our team. The purpose of this position is to administer the IT Systems and IT Infrastructure of Book4Time, including but not limited to Cloud Messaging, Supporting AWS environment, Virtual Servers, Active Directory, and Windows server operating systems. This position will work in conjunction with all members of the IT Operations, IT Application, Development Operations, and other functional areas of the business to ensure that processes are monitored, managed, and updated as required by the needs of the overall business while maintaining a high level of system integrity within the infrastructure.

This position requires a vast knowledge of various technologies, as well as the ability to coordinate resources to achieve optimal business support and provide these abilities and functions across various departments and platforms.


How You'll Make An Impact

  • Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine technology needs. Purchase and maintain technological equipment and software costs.
  • Refine current IT policies and systems to support the strategies necessary for future growth. Develop and implement IT policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure optimal protection and management of risk.
  • Provide Support in O365 tools like Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, and One Drive to users in the North America Region and other locations as needed.
  • Work Closely with our Cloud Team to provide support to our current AWS implementation. Support AWS PVC configuration, Security Groups, Routing and DNS.
  • Oversee all non-production technology operations (e.g., software, hardware, third party SaaS applications used by the business, network & application security, etc.).
  • Use Microsoft SCCM to deploy software to user's laptops.
  • Maintains and supports our server, virtualization, and Active Directory infrastructures.
  • Basic Networking knowledge to troubleshoot user issues connecting to different applications.
  • Installs and supports Windows servers, Windows 10/11, software, and services.
  • Support Active Directory on premise and Azure.
  • Support, Troubleshoot and Install DHCP and DNS servers.
  • Communicates proactively and effectively, system-related issues to management and the user community.
  • Acts as Level 3 Support by providing maintenance and resolution of Windows servers, windows 10 and 11.
  • Work Closely with our Helpdesk team to provide infrastructure support to end-users.
  • Monitors production standards and procedures and recommends improvements.
  • Works hand in hand with peers on the IT Operations team.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience supporting AWS implementations and different components in the AWS environment.
  • Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
  • Minimum 5 years' operational experience in multiple host environments including Windows, Active Directory, Azure, VMware, and Microsoft O365.
  • Prefer 5+ years of IT related experience in an office environment with an AWS and O365 background supporting multiple locations.
  • Management of email environments utilizing Microsoft Exchange online messaging, Office 365, etc.
  • Must be able to coordinate priorities and multi-task based on severities.
  • Must have impeccable organizational skills and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Strong ability to solve complex business problems in a collaborative fashion.
  • Strong business acumen, multi-tasking, and analytical skills
  • Availability to be involved in mission critical situations outside of normal business hours.
  • Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
  • A proven record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans.
  • Familiar with security risk analyses and audits (SOC, PCI, HIPAA).

Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or 5 to 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Meraki Wireless knowledge
