We are looking for our next great Lead Teacher!
Responsibilities:
Include, but are not limited to:
  • Collect materials from and return materials to the designed storage areas
  • Encourage student involvement by ensuring students begin warm-up activities and assisting students on an individual basis
  • Practice excellence in teaching when offering Engineering For Kids programs
  • Ensure classes operate smoothly by conducting tasks such as observing and recording data during student tests, managing supplies during class, and assisting in demonstrations
  • Provide appropriate instruction that considers the unique abilities of every student
  • Constantly strive to improve instruction through reflection and evaluation
  • Demonstrate initiative by seeking additional Engineering For Kids training and further education

Primary Duties:
  • Support Engineering For Kids classes in a professional manner
  • Be courteous and approachable to students, parents, and staff
  • Follow policies of the franchise location which may include, but are not limited to, safety procedures and dress code

You are someone who:
  • Has worked with children (large groups)
  • Can break down and explain challenging concepts in a way that children can relate
  • Has experience in the service industry and understands the importance of customer service
  • Can communicate clearly and concisely and enjoys speaking in front of groups of children
  • Can think on your feet and find solutions to every day camp issues or challenges
  • Has a real interest and experience in S.T.E.M fields
  • Has a real interest in teaching through hands-on play and activities
Must have/Be willing to obtain:
  • Emergency first aid and CPR
  • Clean police check to work with children
  • Vehicle to travel to location. You may be required to pick up/ return equipment and supplies to our home-base in Milton, ON
