As our Instrumentation Account Manager/ Field Specialist, you are responsible to support growth of our Instrumentation business in the Atlantic Canadian market, a wide variety of duties including identifying and securing sales and service opportunities across a variety of applications and environments as well as executing in-field technical solution support. Some of the additional expectations of this role would include:

  • Hunting for business through company lead follow-ups, existing customer history, tender sites, current events, and history of Industry contacts.
  • Spending significant time in-field visiting customers (Current/Potential) maintaining and strengthening relationships and identify their unique requirements and potential solutions.
  • Delivering service-related initiatives, performing maintenance and servicing of devices, systems and products that we sell
  • Working in conjunction with inside sales staff and technical support teams to ensure prompt and accurate quotes are submitted.
  • Monitoring market, competitor and customer trends to inform sales plans.
  • Developing sales plans and reports to manage and report on sales activities and progress as well enable growth.
  • Ensuring CRM tools are updated and reviewed.
  • Maintaining broad depth of knowledge of the company's product portfolio and clients within Atlantic Canada as well as taking part in any related training or certification courses and reviewing information from suppliers on new or updated products.
  • Participating in industry related trade shows and events to promote our products, services, and solutions.
  • Ensuring safe work practices are followed safety leadership is demonstrated in all aspects of the job.
  • Supporting other team members including administrative, operational, and other field/sales staff, in the safe, efficient delivery of superior service to our clients.

The successful candidate would bring a variety of competencies to the role including:

  • Highly motivated and focused, using their previous experience and industry knowledge to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Attentive to the building relationships, both with current clients and new relationships in the industry.
  • Comfortable communicating in a variety of situations whether it be on a job site, in a Teams call, presenting a product or at a trade show booth.
  • Client focused with an emphasis on customer service that is etched into their work ethic
  • Attentive to details in every aspect of the job from their technical knowledge to their use of CRM tools, and their sales pipeline management.
  • Adaptable. Things can change quickly, and they don't sweat the small stuff.
  • A team player who has no issues lending a hand or asking for one.
  • Keenly interested and experienced in water, waste water, flow, measurement, valves, gas detection, etc.

They must also possess the following experience and/or training credentials:

  • 2+ years' experience in sales, preferably in instrumentation serving a variety of markets including water, wastewater, HVAC/R, power generation, mining, energy, offshore etc.
  • "Hands-on" technical experience in Electrical and/or Instrumentation fields servicing in-field technical services delivery.
  • Training and/or experience in calibration Services, PLC, Programming, Panel Rack up, etc.
  • A valid Driver's License.
  • Bilingual English and French would be considered an asset.
  • NOTE: All combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • NOTE: Candidates who advance through the hiring process will be required to submit a current Certificate of Conduct.
