Job description

As a Service Sales Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting our existing service-based customers while actively pursuing new commercial clients. Your technical expertise or aptitude will be key in understanding and addressing the complex needs of our clients, particularly in the realm of fire protection products and services. You will leverage your technical knowledge to build strong relationships with current customers, ensuring their service needs are met with precision. Additionally, you will drive new sales by generating leads, qualifying prospects, and managing sales opportunities with a focus on delivering technically sound solutions. Your goal will be to enhance our revenue and grow our client base through a combination of expert support and proactive sales strategies.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and assigned clients/accounts.
  • Identify new opportunities within assigned region and pursue service agreements for all life safety systems with client.
  • Build and supply proposal to clients to repair deficiencies noted during inspections in a timely manner.
  • Identify opportunities to sell service agreements for life safety systems within assigned region.
  • Gain thorough understanding of client's needs, goals and challenges to provide tailored solutions.
  • Act as main point of contact for assigned clients/accounts, addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed assigned revenue targets.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products or services to existing clients.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Create and implement account plans that outline strategies for growing the account and achieving business objectives.
  • Identify and prioritize key growth opportunities within the account and across the broader market.
  • Provide clients with insights and information on how the company's products or services can address their specific needs.
  • Address any challenges or issues faced by clients and work with internal teams to find effective solutions.
  • Responsible for the relay of client feedback to enhance the client's experience and exceed their expectations.
  • Conduct research on market trends, competitors and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Establish relationship with supplier accounts for the successful delivery of projects.
  • Develop extensive knowledge of product, applicable codes and standards.
  • Meet directly with customers to establish their needs, and to drive the overall sales process.
  • Target new business opportunities using your industry contacts and expertise.
  • Maintain up to date sales activity within sales delivery platform.
  • Stay current with new technologies, new products offerings, business strategies and market conditions so as to support and enhance sales activities.

Qualifications:

  • Self-starter with demonstrated prospecting skills is essential
  • Must be willing to travel for customer calls
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Fire Alarm technical expertise an asset
  • Knowledge of company products and services
  • Ability to work independently
  • Advanced sales skills and ability to develop effective customer solutions
  • Solid teamwork skills
  • Computer skills - Microsoft Office, CRM
  • Knowledge of applicable fire codes and standards
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Minimum two years of experience in the fire & life safety industry
  • Substantial experience in a Sales/Account Management related field an asset
  • Knowledge of Kitchen & Special Suppression an asset
  • Relevant sales experience in the fire and life safety industry is an asset
