Requirements

Position Overview:

UniUni is seeking an experienced Compensation & Benefits (C&B) Manager to join our HR team. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive experience in C&B practices in both the United States and Canada, with a strong background in payroll operations and a solid understanding of North American tax regulations. This role will be critical in designing, implementing, and managing compensation and benefits programs that support our business objectives and enhance employee satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Compensation & Benefits Management:

o Develop, implement, and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs that align with UniUni's business strategies and goals.

o Conduct regular benchmarking and market analysis to ensure the competitiveness of compensation and benefits packages.

o Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other perks.

o Ensure compliance with federal, state, and provincial laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.

  • Payroll Operations:

o Manage payroll processes for both the United States and Canada, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.

o Coordinate with finance and accounting teams to ensure proper reporting and reconciliation of payroll-related accounts.

o Address payroll inquiries and resolve any payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Tax Compliance:

o Ensure compliance with North American tax regulations, including federal, state, provincial, and local taxes.

o Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations that impact payroll and benefits administration.

o Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors as necessary.

  • HR Support:

o Collaborate with HR team members to support talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, and other HR functions.

o Provide guidance and training to managers and employees on compensation and benefits-related matters.

o Participate in HR projects and initiatives to enhance overall HR service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation and benefits management, with at least 3 years in a similar role covering both the US and Canada.
  • Extensive experience in payroll operations and tax compliance in North America.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and provincial employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and use data to inform decision-making.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and payroll software systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) designation.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

The hiring range for this position ranges from CA$70,000 - CA$80,000. Your actual level and salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
