Who We Are:
Paracel Laboratories Ltd. is a full-service environmental and Indoor Air Quality laboratory. Our main laboratory facilities are located in Ottawa and are supported by an environmental lab in Hamilton and microbiology and asbestos laboratories in Mississauga. Additional service depots are located in Kingston, London, Niagara, Windsor, and Richmond Hill. We support a broad spectrum of projects for professional clients from across Canada and around the world. Our client base primarily consists of major environmental consultants, all levels of government and industrial manufacturers located predominantly in Ottawa, Toronto, Niagara, Eastern and Southwestern Ontario.
The Opportunity:
We are looking to fill an Account Manager role at our Kingston Depot location. Reporting to the Client Services Manager, this position is a liaison between lab operations and client project managers. Our ideal candidate will ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to client inquiries, and maintain high client satisfaction acting as a single point of contact for our client interactions. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with clients to oversee testing requirements including the review of contract and/or bid information, turnaround times and regulatory requirements.
  • Workorder Review: Verify sample log in information including pricing, requested tests, TATs, and other project details against existing bids/contracts. Review may also include non-conformance resolution and client follow up as required.
  • Liaise with sample management, client service representatives and the lab manager to assist in meeting client requirements.
  • Provide back-up coverage for Client Service Representatives during time-off or work overflow situations, including but not limited to, general client inquiries, sample receiving/shipping, log ins and bottle orders.
  • Participate in client kick-off meetings related to major contracts/projects and other client meetings as necessary.
  • Work with Business Development representatives to assist in the preparation of complex analytical quotations and sampling programs.
  • Work in conjunction with Business Development representatives to further develop and expand existing client base.
  • Manage client inquiries including: technical, pricing, complaints, report/invoice status, and report revisions.
  • Manage client information in both Element and CRM software and producing account management reports as required.
  • Review and email lab-approved certified reports. Reports may include electronic data deliverables (EDDs) and regulated drinking water reports.
  • Report Revisions: generate revised reports requiring administrative, non-technical, edits.
  • Generate, review and email invoices.
  • Comply with company QA/QC and Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.

Qualifications:
  • Two-year college education or B.Sc. in related science field.
  • Minimum 2 years of lab industry and customer service experience.
  • Authorization to work in the Canada indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
