Position Summary:
Reporting to the Clinical Operations Manager, Professional Practice and Family Engagement, the Senior Behaviour Analyst (SBA) promotes and supports clinical best practices, evidence-based behavior analytic interventions, and clinical outcome measurements. While focusing on capacity building for the Respite program on various aspects of service delivery, this dynamic and innovative individual will also support and conduct behavioural assessments, participate safety plan development, provide support services to children, youth, and their families, and coordinate education workshops.
The SBA also provides information and education regarding standards from the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) and coordinates student placements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote quality service provision within the day and overnight respite program;
  • Provide ongoing consultation, coaching, and mentorship to the respite clinical team in best practices and evidence-based interventions for clients that exhibit challenging behaviour
  • Participate in service supports for clients and families as required
  • Keep abreast of current discipline best practices and evidenced based interventions;
  • Inform and support clinical outcome measurements, and data-based clinical decisions;
  • Disseminate relevant information to staff through presentations and workshops;
  • Collaborate with an inter-professional team and provide clinical supports as required;
  • Support clinical accountability within streams of service within programs across the organization
  • Contribute to promotion of research opportunities;
  • Coordinate student placements and participate in student evaluations;
  • Acting as a liaison with academic institutions for student placements
  • Support compliance with CPBAO standards, and best practice guidelines around supervision and service provision;
  • Provide BACB Supervision to new BCBA candidates following the requirements laid out in the BACB Task list;
  • Support and collaborate in the creating of Individualized Behaviour Plans, Behaviour Reduction Plans and Safety Plans across programs and services;
  • Provide Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) Introductory and Refresher training to clinicians;
  • Organize caseload to achieve optimal resource capacity and maximum clinical hours;
  • Travel between sites as required;
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
  • All other reasonable duties as assigned and identified by the organization.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Psychology or related field is required;
  • Registration with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario is required;
  • Maintained BCBA certification for at least 5 years in good standing is required;
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical supervision experience in the field of ABA;
  • Demonstrated skill in behavioural assessment and treatment of children, youth and young adults;
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership and teaching skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to motivate and support colleagues;
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written);
  • Demonstrated achievements in the pursuit and practice of evidence based best practice;
  • Ability to function collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team;
  • Meditech proficiency is preferred;
  • A valid Ontario driver's license is required as well as access to a personal vehicle.
