DeNova is seeking a Bioprocess Engineer to support the design, implementation, and optimization of bioprocessing systems for microbial protein production. This hands-on role involves process design, scale-up activities, troubleshooting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient, scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in bioprocessing or biochemical engineering, expertise in microbial fermentation, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Design & Optimization: Design and optimize bioprocess systems, integrating new technologies for improved efficiency and scalability. Develop hands-on knowledge of CIP (clean-in-place) and SIP (sterilize-in-place) processes.
- Scale-Up & Troubleshooting: Support the scale-up from bench to pilot and commercial production, resolving technical challenges quickly to ensure process efficiency and quality.
- Collaboration: Work closely with scientists and engineers to turn lab findings into scalable, industrial processes. Collaborate across teams to drive project success.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to safety and quality standards, and proactively implement improvements in bioprocessing engineering.
- Technical Documentation: Create detailed technical documents, including process designs, scale-up reports, and SOPs, ensuring regulatory compliance and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in bioprocessing or biochemical engineering, with a focus on microbial fermentation.
- Proven experience in process scale-up and troubleshooting in bioprocessing.
- Strong technical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
