ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a dynamic candidate to work closely with our field and project management teams, playing an integral role in the expansion of our operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development within your area of expertise.
As a Wetland Ecologist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Conducting wetland surveys, assessments, and monitoring
- Desktop assessments including delineations
- Providing technical wetlands support to project teams
- Liaising with on-site client representatives and contractors
- Provide precise attention to detail and have the ability to produce professional quality deliverables on time and on budget
- Collect surface water samples
- Conduct wetland monitoring activities and environmental inspections
- Assist with other responsibilities as needed to contribute to the overall success of the team
We are looking for the following skills and qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative working style
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Familiar with wetland regulations and best management practices
- Experience conducting a broad variety of wetlands-specific scopes of work in both pre‑construction and construction settings
- Eligible for the Wetlands Professional designation with the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists
- Ability to work remotely for extended periods
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
