ODAIA is a remote first organization, with a hub located downtown Toronto. All our positions are WFH with frequent company and team based socials, events and meetings in-person and virtually.

ODAIA helps pharma sales and marketing teams by using AI to understand and predict customer behaviour. Our enterprise SaaS platform MAPTUAL serves some of the most recognized Fortune 500 life sciences companies. By incorporating data and AI predictions in powerful ways, MAPTUAL's users understand their customers (healthcare professionals, patients) on a deeper level and cater to their health needs more effectively.

WHAT'S ON OFFER
We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager. This role will initially report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. This function has been newly brought in house so this is a great opportunity to build from the ground up, and work with a leader who has built multiple tech finance teams. Coming off of a strong Series B round, there is a lot to do! This is a great opportunity to learn from an experienced tech CFO.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Discover where we should be looking by exploring our business to identify key metrics, processes and truths that we haven't even thought to look at yet, which will become cornerstones of our financial success
- Chase Revenue by building financial models that help the leadership team hold the business leaders accountable to revenue targets through KPIs (sales funnels, financial forecasts etc)
- Manage Expenses and Cash Flow through building the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes and by respectfully challenging business leaders to gain operational efficiencies. Communicate results to the leadership team. Own the financial software tools that allow us to scale and identify and implement new tools where necessary.
- Manage Month End by reviewing the financial results produced by the team's external bookkeepers, comparing against forecast and providing month end package
- Manage the Year End Audit you autonomously manage the company's year end audit process, including drafting key accounting papers
- Complete Quarterly Reporting - for investors and the Board, including putting together the financial portion of quarterly board reporting packages
WHAT YOU BRING:

- Minimum 4 + years of relevant or similar experience CPA/CAd CPAs designation required
- You love the idea of building a new finance function including new processes and adding new tools
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and understand that as part of being a team player, you are excited to help the team meet tight deadlines
- You love the idea of being involved in strategic decision making and partnering with the business
- Believer that financial analysis is a key part of making strategic business decisions and you can create business cases to drive operational business decisions
- Creating financial models is second nature to you
- Ability to drive concepts quickly and can run with them on minimal guidance
- Tech savvy and the ability to efficiently and effectively use different operations software tools
- We use Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, advanced excel skills required
- Bonus points for experience with FP&A including financial modeling,business case, budgeting forecasting and monthly financial statement analysis
- Always up for a challenge and you're always striving to learn something new
- Strong skill set communicating, presenting and writing, and the ability to work well cross-functionally
- Excellent organizational and time management skills and a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal guidance
- Experience managing confidential and sensitive information

We are a remote-first company based in Toronto with frequent in-person collaborative work sessions and social gatherings at a work-share office in downtown Toronto. We leverage many synchronous and asynchronous communication tools as well as virtual social events, and provide an allowance for your ideal WFH setup.
