Opportunity: Human Resources Administrator We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Administrator to perform a variety of day-to-day HR administrative functions. This role is crucial for ensuring data integrity, processing, and reporting within our Human Resource Information System (HRIS). Opportunity: Human Resources Administrator We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Administrator to perform a variety of day-to-day HR administrative functions. This role is crucial for ensuring data integrity, processing, and reporting within our Human Resource Information System (HRIS). The ideal candidate will uphold integrity, respect, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain personnel records both physically and digitally
- Record new hires, transfers, terminations, job classification changes, and track vacation, sick, and personal time
- Track and update employee credentials, ensuring all necessary certifications and licenses are current.
- Manage the HR inbox, addressing all employee queries with prompt and satisfactory responses.
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related queries, including policies, programs, and procedures.
- Facilitate employee onboarding and training, ensuring a smooth integration for new hires.
- Assist payroll by providing relevant employee information as per internally set processes
- Administer benefit programs by advising employees of eligibility, assisting with applications, and verifying submissions.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Strong knowledge of HR administration principles, practices, and standards with a minimum of 12 months of progressive work experience in Human Resources / Employee Relations.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, and MS Outlook, with proficient typing skills.
- Experience with any Human Resources Information System and knowledge of database maintenance.
- Work experience in a unionized environment is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to travel to and work from Burlington Head Office five days a week from 9 am to 5:30 pm
