Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Site Superintendent for our high-density condo construction projects. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Site Superintendent in managing daily construction activities on-site.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized construction site, enforcing safety regulations and protocols.
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and report on project status to senior management.
- Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with building codes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
- Collaborate with the project management team to develop and implement strategies for efficient project execution.
- Promote a positive work environment, fostering teamwork and collaboration among all site personnel.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction, with a focus on high-density residential or commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the City Safety Codes Inspection process.
- First Aid Training, WHMIS, Fall Arrest.
- Experience turning over homes to customers.
