We're looking for a friendly and dedicated Senior Bookkeeper to join our growing team. The Senior Bookkeeper works with assigned clients to oversee, record, process, and reconcile financial data based on assigned needs as well as manages their assigned Bookkeepers for their role and deliverables. The ideal candidate is an energetic individual who likes to juggle a variety of tasks and would thrive in our fast-paced environment!
The Finance Manager role will perform the following expected outcomes accurately and within a timely manner but is not limited to:
- Overseeing full-cycle accounting for small and mid-sized clients.
- Manage the month-end close processes, accruals and adjustments including financial reporting.
- Establish annual financial plans/budgets for clients and produce monthly variance reports.
- Produce reports that help business owners better understand their financial performance.
- Lead year-end close process and liaise with external auditors at year-end.
- Supervise bookkeeping staff as well as mentoring and coaching.
Skills, Qualifications and Track Record:
Must-haves
- 4+ years' experience as a Bookkeeper
- Accounting Diploma or University Degree.
- Supervisory experience (minimum 2 years)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working with Quickbooks online
- Solid technical accounting skills
- Strong Excel skills (must know how to use pivot tables at minimum)
Nice-to-haves
- Experience supporting SaaS companies is an asset (familiarity with SaaS metrics)
- An open mind to trying out new technology.

Our company is a team of thirty Bookkeepers and Accountants who work cohesively to provide small and medium sized businesses with amazing back end financial support. Numbercrunch supports employees with a fun and relaxed hybrid working environment, regular social events, work-life balance, and a team of supportive colleagues. This job requires you to come into our lovely Kanata office three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) and on Mondays and Fridays you get to work from home! Our working hours are 9-5 (no overtime is expected!)
