Effortless Admin is revolutionizing the employee benefits industry with our cutting-edge software. As we rapidly expand, we're seeking a talented Contracts Data Clerk to join our dynamic team in south Edmonton.

The Role

Our company is experiencing rapid growth in the benefits administration sector. We're seeking a detail-oriented Contracts Data Clerk who can grow with us. Initially, you'll focus on data entry and management for new client contract implementations and amendments to existing client contracts. As our system and client base expand, your role will evolve as well. Within a few years, we anticipate you'll be handling more complex data tasks leveraging state of the art technologies, and potentially specializing in either onboarding or amendments. This role demands relentless attention to detail, a knack for learning new systems, and the ability to adapt to changing processes. As we scale, your responsibilities will increase. We're looking for someone who can become a cornerstone of our data integrity efforts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our benefits administration processes as we grow.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in the onboarding process of new clients by entering contract and client configuration details into Effortless Admin's proprietary benefits administration system
  • Cross-reference entered information with source documents and flag discrepancies or unusual requests for review by senior team members
  • Update existing client information and contract parameters based on amendment requests to ensure continuous strict adherence to group insurance policy contract parameters
  • Organize and file digital documents related to onboarding and amendments, and maintain logs of completed tasks and any issues encountered
  • Follow established data management processing procedures and provide status updates on data entry tasks to team leads
  • Adhere to data privacy and security protocols when handling sensitive information
  • Stay updated on changes to the benefits administration platform
  • Learn about different types of benefit plans and industry terminology to improve data entry accuracy
  • Prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance
  • Manage time effectively to meet deadlines for both onboarding and amendment processes
  • Assist in generating basic reports on data entry activities when requested

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's degree or some college coursework in business administration, data management, or a related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in data entry or administrative roles, preferably in insurance, finance, or healthcare industries
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
  • Familiarity with database management and data entry systems
  • Typing speed of at least 50 WPM with high accuracy
  • Basic understanding of insurance terminology and concepts (can be learned on the job)
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., PIPEDA in Canada)
  • Fluency in English required
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset for serving diverse Canadian markets
  • No specific certifications required, but willingness to pursue relevant certifications in the future is a plus
  • Experience with benefits administration software is a plus, but not required
