Job Title: Assistant Controller - Global Rotation

Location: Various international locations (with potential relocation every 6+ months)

Position Overview:

Lambert Nemec Group, Manitoba's Premier Specialized Recruitment Firm has been engaged by our client, a rapidly expanding international company with operations around the world. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Controller Global Rotation to join our client's team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in diverse environments, setting up and managing financial operations across different countries requiring staying in each location for approximately 6 plus months at a time.

Job Description:

As a Assistant Controller Global Rotation, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial and accounting functions of the international operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Traveling to various countries overseas to establish and manage accounting and finance operations.
• Ensuring compliance with local regulations and statutory requirements in each country of operation.
• Setting up accounting systems, processes, and controls to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Hiring, training, and managing local finance teams to support operational needs.
• Monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive business performance.
• Acting as a fill-in resource when necessary to maintain continuity in financial operations.
• Conducting research on local compliance and regulatory requirements to ensure adherence.
• Collaborating with local and international teams to streamline processes and optimize financial performance.
• Demonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently in diverse environments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and must possess a recognized Canadian or US accounting designation, CPA (CA, CGA CMA).
• 3 plus years working in a Big 4 accounting firm.
• Strong understanding of Canadian or US accounting principles and standards.
• Ability to adapt to different cultures, business practices, and regulatory environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in researching and interpreting local compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Canadian, US, or UK passports are required for international travel with no restrictions for international travel.
• Flexibility to relocate every 6+ months based on business needs. The training for the initial 6 months would be in Winnipeg
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Capacity to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Compensation package in the $80K - $90K plus bonus
• 30% increase during international assignment
