Our Client, Houselink & Mainstay Community Housing in Toronto, ON is looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their leadership team!

We're seeking a visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who shares our commitment to advancing these goals while driving the financial strategy and operational excellence of our organization.

The Role:

As the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial health and sustainability of Houselink & Mainstay. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, you'll oversee finance, business planning, risk management, IT infrastructure, and financial governance. You will lead a talented team across finance, accounting, and IT functions, ensuring that our operations align with our mission and long-term strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies that align with our organizational goals.
• Lead financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and risk management.
• Provide strategic insights to the Executive Director, Board, and leadership team to guide long-term planning and decision-making.
• Oversee compliance with financial regulations, GAAP standards, and funding requirements.
• Manage financial planning, cash flow, and investments to optimize our financial resources.
• Collaborate on business contract negotiations and support real estate development projects.
• Drive IT strategy and infrastructure to support the organization's growth and service delivery.
• Champion organizational values and foster a culture of accountability, inclusivity, and service excellence.

What You Bring:

• A CPA designation combined with 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably within the non-profit or housing sector.
• Proven experience in strategic financial planning, risk management, and governance.
• Expertise in managing complex financial operations, including accounting systems (experience with Yardi software is an asset).
• Strong leadership skills, with a track record of building high-performing teams and driving organizational change.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
