About the Position: In this Temporary Full-time position, the HR Assistant will perform duties that support the agency in full cycle recruitment- including but not limited to, recruiting, hiring, onboarding and offboarding. This includes assisting with the recruitment process by posting positions, scheduling interviews, performing reference checks, and ensuring the completion of pre-employment documentation. The HR Assistant will also be supporting Human Resources systems, filing, and data entry; in addition to supporting the agency in other administrative tasks as assigned. Please note, this role is a 3 month temporary contract, and is subject to extension depending on the needs of the agency.

About You: You have a minimum of 1 year of HR or related administrative experience. You are a self-motivated individual with the ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality. You are able to work independently and are highly organized, allowing you to effectively manage multiple priorities at one time. You are also extremely adaptable and can adjust to changing priorities as needed. In addition, you have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and are comfortable interacting with people from a variety of backgrounds as well as with people at all levels of the organization. You are culturally competent and able to conduct yourself in a manner which is respectful and encouraging of the cultural/spiritual beliefs and practices of others.

A diploma in a related field and/or previous experience in Human Resources is required. Experience working within a non-profit setting would be considered an asset. The successful candidate must demonstrate proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe, and Google Workspaces. In addition, a Police Information Check and an Intervention Record Check must be completed upon hire.
