Job Listing: Senior Accountant – 12-month term

Willow is seeking an experienced financial reporting professional, who will focus on providing business-focused advice in an exciting, emerging industry. The Senior Accountant assists in the preparation of the company's financial reporting, including consolidated financial statements and board reports, playing a key role in overseeing financial functions and process improvement opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Accounting/Finance degree and pursuing or completed the CPA program

· Experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

· 5+ years in an accounting role

· Experience with public companies and business processes

· Experience with stock options and other equity awards

· Strongly proficient with Microsoft office and accounting software - Sage Intacct specifically

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

· Strong attention to detail, problem solving and decision-making skills

· Highly organized and self-motivated team player

· Ability to develop, nurture and maintain relationships with various internal stakeholders

· Multi-currency consolidation experience is an asset

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Prepare quarterly reconciliations and maintain schedules for inventory, property, plant and equipment, leases, warrants and stock options, among other complex accounts

· Prepare monthly budget to actual variance analysis including cash flow statement

· Prepare quarterly IFRS financial statements with supporting audit schedules

· Prepare quarterly management discussion and analysis (MD&A) with explanations for change

· Provide research and analysis on technical accounting matters including adoption of new standards as applicable

· Assist with quarterly reviews, year-end audit, and control testing

· Process equity transactions for all stakeholders through Shareworks/loyalty options

· Ensure Willow's compliance with all regulatory guidance and internal policies and procedures

· Assist with tax planning and tax returns, and quarterly provisions

· Assist with quarterly board reporting

· Administrative and operational support duties as needed

· Full-time, contract position, 12 month term
