As an Automation Technician / Electrician at Lufkin Industries, you will maintain and service advanced automation equipment under the supervision of the Field Services leader. Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical and electronic equipment, performing installations, and managing well-optimization technologies. The role demands physical stamina for heavy lifting and adverse conditions, flexibility for overtime and travel, and adherence to stringent safety and quality standards. Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Licensed Electrician (Journeyman or Master Electrical License)
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical activities in extreme weather conditions

Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain Lufkin Automation equipment under direct supervision
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical/electronic equipment
  • Perform on-site installation of electrical/electronic equipment, including conduits
  • Operate various electronic tools and equipment, such as auto cranes and stud guns
  • Assess and address well-optimization issues independently or with the help of technical specialists
  • Collaborate with other business entities and manage customer service standards and quality
  • Follow HSE procedures rigorously
  • Other projects as required

Desired Qualification

  • At least three years of electrical experience
  • Troubleshooting skills and basic computer proficiency (MS Office Suite)
  • Ability to work independently and manage inventory effectively
  • Oilfield experience and familiarity with variable speed drives and automation instrumentation
  • Commitment to maintaining customer service standards and quality
