ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a BIM Manager at Parkin Architects, you will part of the BIM Group, responsible for overseeing and leading the overall BIM operations for the organization, working closely with production staff and Project Managers. You will help developing and implementing BIM strategies, workflows, and standards to ensure projects are completed with the highest level of quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
Work as part of the office BIM Team to:
- Develop and maintain company-wide BIM standards, protocols, and workflows.
- Create Training Material, train, and mentor team members on the use of Revit and other BIM-related software, tools, and techniques.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop, manage, and maintain BIM models and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide Revit/BIM support to project teams/BIM Coordinators and assist troubleshooting specific project problems.
- Assist with the development of BIM Execution Plans.
- Review BIM project requirements and propose the team approach to these.
- Manage Office BIM/Revit content.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, innovations, and technological advancements to enhance BIM capabilities and project outcomes.
- Coordinate BIM coordination and clash detection meetings for multiple projects.
- Work with the IT Team to coordinate BIM software updates, and technical support to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
- Regularly monitor and report on BIM implementation, performance, and goals to senior management.
- Work with Project Managers to align team expectations and meet project milestones.
- Stay current with industry standards and best practices related to BIM.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, diploma in Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in BIM management and implementation.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and other BIM software including managing data, schedules, view templates and creating Revit families.
- Knowledge of programs such as dRofus, Dynamo, Twinmotion, Rhino, Grasshopper and Revit Add-Ins such CTC Tools, Ideate Tools and PyRevit is beneficial.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and project teams.
