We are looking to hire (1) Occupational Therapist for a hospital in Atikokan, Ontario. The details are as follows:

Pay: $70.00/hr - $80.00/hr

Starting: June 17, 2024

Term: 6-18 month full-time contract

Hours: Monday – Friday; 8am – 4pm; No weekends; No on-call

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a recognized Occupational Therapy program.
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • ADP authorization would be an asset.
  • A valid driver's license + operating vehicle.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Full immunization profile (list available to qualifying candidates).

Job Description

  • Sets goals, objectives, and standards of patient care.
  • Participation in CQI, utilization review, risk management and occupational health and safety activities as requested by the Rehabilitation Manager. Is knowledgeable about accreditation standards.
  • Follows all policies and procedures to ensure personal safety and safety of others.
  • The OT accepts referrals from participating community and/or medical agencies, third party billing, and physicians.
  • The OT assesses patients in the Acute Care, ER and LTC units as well as providing outpatient services and services for third party billing clients in their home. The OT develops client specific treatment plans in conjunction with the patient and/or family members.
  • Is knowledgeable and familiar with the Accreditation Canada Program, supports the Program and participates as a Team member when requested.
