Job Summary:

As a Supply Management Manager, you will be responsible for leading/managing the supply management day-to-day efforts with your team and aligning with the business requirements and sourcing strategies in support of our growing business demands and organizational goals. This person will be responsible for leading a team of supply management buyers/planners to develop the supply base and sourcing community that provides a competitive advantage to the business, leveraging our talent and resources (both internally and externally) to deliver maximum benefit to National Carwash Solutions requirements.

Job Duties:

  • Develop and oversee a factory Supply Management team that manages the day-to-day supply management activities in support of business/factory needs
  • Aligns and integrates with the Enterprise Supply Management team and provides the strategic direction, vision, and leadership to the supply management organization for the factory aligning cross-functionality on goals and efforts
  • Responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans aligned with the business for the procurement of equipment, components, and all goods and services for the manufacturing facility
  • Develop and execute individual and team goals/initiatives aligned with the NCS business, factory, and the Enterprise Supply Management direction
  • Establish a multi-year cost reduction plan with realistic projected savings
  • Ensure reporting savings are verifiable and achieve significant ROI on the cost associated with direct and indirect material purchases
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers while seeking new sourcing opportunities to ensure the company is receiving competitive quotes in support of their vision for growth
  • Keeps the factory leadership informed of all significant problems, progress, and difficulties pertaining to the administrator's area of responsibility
  • Comply with all applicable OHSA, ESA, and other provincial regulatory laws, as well as company safety policies
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, operations, or other related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading and developing a Supply Management team
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Supply Management preferred
  • CPSM/CPM certifications and/or APICS certification a plus
  • Must have a working knowledge of the complete range of supply management, procurement, strategic sourcing tools, and processes including spend analysis, strategy formulation, contract negotiations, and strategic supplier relationship management
  • Supplier development/commodity experience is a plus (performance reviews, supplier logistical, lean practices, supply base optimization) with proven track record of improvement of quality, cost, and delivery
  • Knowledge of ERP tools and processes-execution and leverage
  • Demonstrated lean experience and Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
  • Strong competency within MS Office (specifically Excel); basic accounting practices
  • Demonstrated understanding and use of software and analytics to manipulate, analyze, and interpret data
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to identify, manage, and lead business improvement projects
  • Expert in developing report tools to streamline day-to-day work
  • Ability to travel frequently with overnight stays
  • Maintain a satisfactory attendance record
  • Comply with company rules, policies, and decisions

Salary: $85,000 - $105,000/annually

This is an in-office position located in Barrie, Ontario. All candidates will be required to either relocate or commute if out of this hiring area.
