What You'll Be Doing:

As a Payroll & Accounting Specialist, you will manage all financial transactions, from payroll and banking to accounts receivable, budgets and more.

Our ideal candidate must be able to work independently in a fast paced environment, while maintaining the highest level of accuracy and professionalism. This dynamic position will provide the chosen candidate with a wide range of tasks and responsibilities.

As the Payroll & Accounting Specialist, you will use your strong critical thinking skills to help drive forward better processes and procedures while taking full ownership of the bi-weekly payroll function. You will possess strong interpersonal skills as you act as the go-to person for all staff regarding payroll inquiries. The ideal candidate will be communicative, analytical, accurate and system savvy!

Your Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll while ensuring timely and accurate completion
  • Develop and update payroll related documentation while resolving any related discrepancies
  • Manage and maintain QuickBooks
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies
  • Liaise with auditors and act as lead during the audit period
  • Manage all customer receipts and electronic payments
  • Prepare monthly customer invoices in a timely manner
  • Key participant in the month/quarter/end closing process
  • Manage all prepaid expenses and amortization
  • Participate in the determination of monthly revenue and COGS
  • Processing of accounts payable and vendor payments
  • Processing of employee expense reimbursements
  • Reconciliation of credit cards
  • Preparation and submission of all use tax filings
  • Other duties as assigned by the company's needs

What We're Looking For:

We're on the lookout for a passionate and driven individual who:

  • Has 5+ years of experience
  • Comfortable with financial accounting systems, Excel, G-Suite and ADP payroll processing software
  • A willingness to jump in and help in other areas as needed
  • A keen eye for detail
