Systems Support Analyst

Reporting to the Manager, Service Assurance, the successful candidates are technical specialists who contribute to the support of several server, network and applicative surveillance tools as part of the delivery of a managed services environments for customer networks, security, VoIP and servers.

Must work at on our campus office three times a week, 7.5 hours per day

Requirements

  • Capacity to perform thorough analysis, resourcefulness
  • Ability to search for answers in existing documentation/documenting new items
  • Knowledge of operating systems Linux/Unix, Windows
  • Knowledge of Linux scripting like bash, python, powershell
  • Knowledge of some monitoring applications and ticketing system
  • Knowledge of networking TCP/IP
  • Experience in multiple business areas and on multiple services and applications and can incorporate interdepartmental dependencies and impact into project.
  • Leads and coaches other business analysts at all levels.
  • Acts as a liaison between the IT development group and business units for the support and enhancement of systems
  • Evaluates new applications and identifies systems requirements
  • Evaluates new IT developments and evolving business requirements, and recommends appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems
  • Prepares communications and makes presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives
  • Works under the direction of an IT Manager.
  • Must work on our campus office three times a week, 7.5 hours per day.
  • Language requirement : French and English.

Benefits

  • Work hours are Monday - Friday, normal 37.5 hours weeks working onsite up to 3 days a week
  • Location: Onsite in Saint John, New Brunswick
  • Type of job: Temporary Contractor
  • Hourly contract rate: TBD depending on experience

  • Length of Contract: 12 months with the possibility of extension
