We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) with a strong background in talent acquisition. This role, reporting to the Director of Human Resources, requires robust experience in HR business partnering to drive long-term organizational growth. The successful candidate is expected to quickly become self-directed and operate with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition and Management:
- Lead the full talent acquisition cycle, employing creative strategies to source and recruit top talent.
- Utilize Plum, a Talent Intelligence Platform, to optimize recruitment processes and enhance efficiency.
- Ensure a superior candidate experience from recruitment through onboarding.
Strategic HR Business Partnering:
- Serve as a strategic partner to business leaders, understanding business needs and translating them into HR strategies.
- Provide expert guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to support the achievement of business objectives.
Market Awareness and Forecasting:
- Stay informed about talent market trends, competitors, and business needs to proactively forecast talent requirements.
- Source candidates for key roles through various channels, including social media, professional networks, and referrals.
Compliance and Equity Focus:
- Ensure alignment with employment equity initiatives and compliance with legislative requirements.
- Provide consultative expertise on HR compliance, policies, and procedures.
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with the HR team to resolve complex issues and share information.
- Support the team during peak periods and vacations to maintain continuous workflow
- Demonstrate flexibility to support other HR specialties as needed.
Recordkeeping and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of recruitment activities, ensuring transparency and accessibility for stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a strategic HR Business Partner with a strong background in Talent Acquisition.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals.
- Expertise in creative sourcing methods and leveraging various platforms for recruitment.
- In-depth knowledge of the talent market, competitors, and business forecasting.
- Strong compliance and equity focus with experience in navigating legislative requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills, recordkeeping proficiency, and the ability to resolve complex HR issues.
- Ability to travel throughout Canada and parts of the United States as needed.
