Position Summary

As a Heavy Equipment Operator at Surespan, you will be an integral part of our construction team, operating a range of heavy machinery to ensure our projects run smoothly and efficiently. We're looking for a dedicated Heavy Equipment Operator with mid-level experience, a strong focus on safety, and the ability to excel in a collaborative team environment, offering a unique 21-on/7-off shift schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Heavy Equipment: Skillfully handle excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and other machinery to support bridge and infrastructure construction projects.
• Adhere to Project Specifications: Follow detailed plans and guidelines to ensure precise and accurate execution of tasks.
• Material Handling: Safely load, transport, and manage materials, equipment, and debris on-site.
• Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance on machinery, promptly reporting any issues to the maintenance team.
• Safety First: Comply with all safety regulations and company policies to foster a safe working environment.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with construction crew, project managers, and other team members to ensure project milestones are met.
• Monitor and Respond: Keep an eye on equipment operations, detect malfunctions, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Environmental Compliance: Follow environmental regulations and guidelines to minimize impact during construction activities.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment usage, and project progress.
