About the Opportunity

UJA Federation is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Marketing Manager to join our Marketing department and to act as ‘key marketing consultant' on all aspects of Jewish Foundation and Federation Special Initiatives portfolio. The Senior Marketing Manager manages his/her portfolio with a vision to building each of the brands, and a strong focus on executional success.

Reports to: VP, Marketing & Brand Strategy, cross-reporting to VP, Jewish Foundation of Greater Toronto

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the development and execution of marketing strategy and plans for the Jewish Foundation & Federation Special Initiative portfolios, including: Events, Emails, Fundraising Materials, Reports, Newsletters, and Stewardship initiatives, among others.
  • Lead, manage and coach the Marketing Coordinator and the Designer for the team (2 direct reports)
  • Ensure project and design briefs or requests are submitted properly and with the appropriate detail, and align to UJA's overarching marketing and brand strategy
  • Provide direction for all collateral, and other visual and digital communications; ensure marketing campaigns are designed for a positive donor/fundholder experience, maintain brand image and standards, and deliver on fundraising objectives
  • Effectively presents work, and collects and communicates feedback
  • Oversee content development, design process, project plans, work-back schedules and approvals
  • Ensures Marketing processes are adhered to and/or improved to ensure expectations are met while marketing resources are managed
  • Approaches creative with enthusiasm and stimulates creative thinking with the creative & content team
  • Liaise with key philanthropic advisors and team leaders on the Jewish Foundation, Integrated Philanthropy, Properties, Community Security, Operations, and Corporate Sponsorship teams to ensure collaboration and cohesion with Marketing Department
  • Proactively consults with key departments and divisions to keep them informed of upcoming workload; keeps design, digital and content leads informed so there are no surprises
  • Anticipate and resolve problem situations
  • Continually seeks brand building opportunities/ways to overcome obstacles
  • Work with the VP of Marketing and Brand Strategy and the Business Units to measure and review the ongoing effectiveness of the marketing programs and communicate the results to the organization

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field
  • 3-4 years of experience in Marketing, ideally in client services or strategy at an agency
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical skills and background of the Marketing function (traditional, events and digital)
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects at the same time, understand priorities, and adapt to changing needs & demands
  • Solid knowledge of print and digital production processes
  • Experience promoting high-end, high-engagement events
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Passionate about creative excellence
  • Experience in, or with, a non-profit, financial services company and/or luxury goods considered an asset
  • Experience working with Asana or Wrike (Project Management software) considered an asset

* This is a 1-year contract position. At UJA we support a flexible work schedule and all of our employees engage in hybrid work.
