Job Summary:
The Technology Services Work Unit Management Support Initiative is a short-term initiative to assist the Director of Technology Services with a variety of managerial assessments and deliverables required to support the work unit and inform a potential organizational restructuring. Deliverables and assignments will be determined on an ad hoc basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing current staff workloads and making recommendations on work prioritizations to achieve manageable workload targets.
  • Strategizing and recommending work unit performance goals to support staff development and workload management.
  • Facilitating the creation and execution of a technology roadmap that will reduce technical debt, and maintenance and support efforts.

Requirements:

  • Should posses' leadership of teams in consensus building with members from across public sector organizations such as ministries, agencies, authorities, crown corporations and other public entities as appropriate to the Experience Level.
  • Creating, identifying and articulating strategic objectives.
  • Translating objectives into business plans.
  • Developing cross-organizational objectives.
  • Documenting and formalizing agreements into memoranda of understanding or memoranda of agreement.
  • Identification and linkage of service outcomes of one organization or groups of organizations into an integrated service delivery model.
  • Identification and implementation of organizational and functional design changes.
  • Articulation and development of governance alternatives.
  • Articulation, development and promotion of service delivery models, including citizen centric service delivery models.
  • Facilitation of planning for cultural change.
  • Investment portfolio analysis and executive decision consultation; and
  • transition planning.
  • Resource workload capacity evaluation and prioritization within a unionized environment.
  • Developing and executing technology roadmaps.
  • Managing relationships with a variety of stakeholders during organizational change.
