THE ROLE

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Forklift Driver/Production Assistant is responsible for servicing all manufacturing areas by bringing in and/or removing all materials, goods, products, equipment and/or devices as required ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted production flow.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Keep production going by fulfilling their requirement for raw materials and packaging materials.
• Supply raw material, masterbatch, and re-pelletized material (if any) for production, including cut open the raw material bags putting them in the respective machines surge bin, and fill the mac bins at the designated spot for production.
• Supply packaging material requirements on all machines to make finished products including pallets, bins, corrugates, polybags, trays, sheets, frames, etc., and supply neutral cup stocks at the printing and label line.
• Collect and wrap finished products from production lines, scan and put them away into the warehouse while keeping batch integrity/traceability in place.
• Unload the dunnage trailer whenever required.
• Housekeeping.
• Report any job-related incident immediately to the warehouse manager or production team lead.
• Follow company rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Any other task assigned by the warehouse manager or his substitute.

REQUIREMENTS

• Desire to work in a fast-paced, organized, and positive Manufacturing environment
• Valid Forklift License
• Ability to frequently lift, push, and slide packages that can weigh between 50 lbs and 70 lbs
• Ability to work full-time, 12 hours Shift (Continental Shifts)
• Attention to detail and good time management
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Positive attitude and team player
