JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, training, reporting, consultations, and internal support both on and offsite. Technicians focus is primarily on specialty products, procedures and unique situations and may include product and equipment field support. Technician is required to have extensive knowledge in valves and actuators, possess all qualities and certifications of a Sr. Technician. This position requires availability on short notice including evenings and weekends, extensive (over 60%) travel both domestically and internationally Travel can include helicopter, airplanes or on boats / platforms. This position operates and maintains assigned assets in a manner to meet operational needs in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
• Follows and ensures compliance with all company, regulatory and customers policies and procedures. 5%
• Participates in, completes, and utilizes appropriate safety training, demonstrating a commitment and full support to EH&S principles and values. Champions and leads in safety initiatives as required. 15%
• Performs valve sealing, and critical isolation and monitoring of critical valves for clients onsite while keeping company IP safe and not discussing, sharing, or distributing procedures, product make up. 30%
• Provides technically sound and accurate written and verbal recommendations and procedures to customers, and internal / external partners. 10%
• Assist with inspections related to valve servicing, troubleshooting and repair (equipment such as actuators, valves, and other related components). 20%
• Provide duties as assigned by management that fall within the general expected scope of the position. 5%
• Complete all billing, reporting and safety documentation as required per job. 5%
• Provides support to Research and Development by communicating field needs, sharing ideas of advancing technology and testing new products, procedures, tools, and equipment in the field. 2%
• Provides technical and routine service support to sales team to build and maintain strategic accounts and relationships. 3%
• Read and interpret accurately customer blueprints, schematics, and site layouts. 2%
• Provide start up, operating and maintenance training for customer. 3%

QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 5 years' experience in field services.
• 3-5 years' extensive actuator maintenance, repair and rebuild experience.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
• Clean pre access or random drug and alcohol test results.
• Pipeline, Facility, Oilfield construction, commissioning, repair, and maintenance an asset.
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Card USA) or equivalent is preferred.
• CSTS, H2S, and First Aid certified.
• Valve Pro certification.
• Instrumentation training and certification.
• SAP experience preferred.

EDUCATION
High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this position.

SPECIAL DEMANDS
• Frequent Travel is required for this position, this can include weekdays, overnight, and weekend travel.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk (sometimes over long distances over rough terrain and carrying tools weighing up to 25 pounds), crawl, sit, speak, and hear. The employee is required, for extended periods of time, to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; the employee will be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch; must be able to twist around repeatedly. The employee will be required to climb ladders. The employee may be required to enter confined spaces and crawl under equipment. The employee will lift and/or move up to seventy-five (75) pounds including overhead; must be able to carry up to 25 pounds over up to 30 yards. The employee must be able to roll and tip dolly holding a minimum of 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• This position requires an employee to travel by vehicle, helicopter, airplane, bus, train, or boat. Employee will be exposed to inside and outside temperatures. Both extreme hot and cold weather. Could be subjected to intense wind, rain, sleet, and snow. There will be exposure to dust, poor ventilation, various chemicals, and compounds, including fumes and smells, some of which are extremely hazardous. The employee will enter confined spaces and work in environments including but not limited to platforms, open excavation sites, extreme heights etc., potentially for lengthy periods of time. Employee must be able to wear PPE as designed and is required by the location or company policy. Loud sounds and vibrations could be experienced at times. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. All environments are safe with appropriate PPE.
