REQUIREMENTS

• Your main responsibility is to provide individual support to people with special needs in their homes and community.
• You will assist with daily tasks such as cooking, personal care, and going out with them.
• Encouraging participation in recreational activities is crucial for their social and life skills development.
• You will also help clients resolve conflicts and solve problems during difficult situations.
• During crises or when clients display high-risk behaviors, you will use harm reduction techniques to calm and stabilize the situation.

Qualifications

• Child & Youth Worker, Social Service Worker Diploma required
• 2 years' experience with ASD, mental health, or special needs necessary
• Experience in incident reports, serious occurrences, report taking, and daily logs needed
• Ability to carry out Safety Plans and Client Care Plans effectively
• Certification in crisis intervention (CPI)
