About the Job:
At Custom Health, Data Scientists design and prototype machine learning algorithms for healthcare decision support while complying with data privacy and security policies.
In this role, you will:

• Analyze data from various sources, extract insights, and apply machine learning algorithms for prediction tasks.
• Define data labeling requirements and work with data engineers to implement the requirements
• Define and prototype machine learning algorithms for healthcare decision support and operational efficiency
• Prototype and evaluate multiple algorithms to find the best algorithm that meets the accuracy, performance, and cost targets.
• Apply unsupervised and supervised learning algorithms as appropriate to get insights and create solutions that leverage data
• Work with data engineers and machine learning engineers to implement production-quality applications that integrate machine learning algorithms.
• Create comprehensive documentation on methods, findings, tradeoffs, results and rationale behind choices made.
• Continually raise the bar and evangelize a high standard. Partner with leaders and peers to identify and take initiatives.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years (Ph.D) or 10+ years (Master's degree) of experience with data science in the healthcare domain preferred.
• Experience implementing machine learning algorithms using popular machine learning/deep learning frameworks.
• Experience in implementing machine learning algorithms for time series data in healthcare.
• Experience in implementing data analysis and machine learning pipelines using Python.
• Experience in implementing machine learning pipelines in a SaaS data platform.

• Experience working with databases and SQL
• Experience in machine learning pipelines in Databricks.
• Experience with complex systems involving large and distributed datasets.
